Social Justice and Civil Rights

In Josh’s own words:

I’m a proud ally to women, communities of color, the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, and people of all religions and backgrounds.

No one is free until everyone is free.

Josh’s plan:

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

As County Commissioner, Josh believes that as a public administrator, his first responsibility is to understand the concerns of the people who work day in and day out for the county. He created the first DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Committee for Chester County Employees specifically to ensure to give these crucial conversations a place in county administration.

Empowering Existing Leaders

Josh believes that Chester County residents deserve the best in social services, and that we are fortunate to have knowledgeable, active, empathetic leaders within our community. As commissioner, he has worked with domestic violence and crime victims’ centers, food banks, and non-profit health leaders to make sure that all leaders have every resource and tool they need to make sure no one is left behind in Chester County.

Celebrating with Pride

Josh believes government should reflect the fabric of the community. As county commissioner, he is proud to have been a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community in a meaningful, active way: with Josh in office, Chester County finally officially recognized Pride Month and flew Pride Flags at government buildings for the first time in county history.
